Kendra Saunders
PT, BScExSc(Hon), MScPT, Registered Physiotherapist / Acupuncture

Kendra Saunders graduated with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto. She became intrigued by sports injuries through personal experience as a varsity Fastpitch player at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore where she obtained her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Exercise Science. Kendra’s philosophy in helping people recover from their injuries takes the person as a whole into consideration. She understands each client is unique and adapts treatment accordingly. Her treatments include a combination of education, hands-on care, and exercises to encourage her clients to have the quickest return to their normal activities of daily life. Kendra has taken further educational opportunities in taping, acupuncture, manual therapy, concussion management, vertigo and vestibular rehabilitation. Moving forward, Kendra plans on continuing to learn about vertigo and other vestibular dysfunctions.

She continues to remain active in the community participating in high-level softball. When Kendra’s not playing sports she can be found spending time with her family.

Dana Anderson
Administrator

Dana is the first point of contact you will see when you visit Pinebush Physiotherapy and Wellness. She brings over 7 years of customer service experience and 4 years working in a clinical environment. She is always here to answer any questions you may have and to make sure your experience is straightforward and enjoyable with friendly staff. Dana loves to see all patients succeed in their therapy, recovery and growth.

When she is not at the clinic Dana likes to spend time with her husband and their dog Luna. During the summer months they enjoy going camping up north, going to the beach and enjoying the warmer weather.

Sunil Kumar
B.P.T.,M.P.T., Physiotherapy Assitant

Sunil is an internationally trained Physiotherapist who completed his master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2007 from India. Up until 2016, Sunil practice alongside Orthopaedic surgeons and treated clients of all ages and injuries related to Musculo-skeletal conditions. Some of which included joint and muscle pain, sprains and strains, post-fracture stiffness and post-operative rehabilitation, with a heavy focus on total hip and knee replacement surgeries.

Sunil came to Canada with his family in 2016 and completed a 10-month Physiotherapy bridging program from the University of Toronto. Sunil believes a thorough assessment and customized treatments for each individual client can help them achieve their goals. Sunil is passionate about upgrading his hands-on skills by continuing his education and evidence-based treatment approach. He loves to treat clients and wants to help them in moving pain-free. In his free time, he enjoys time with his family and friends.

Amy Baxter
RMT (Hon), Registered Massage Therapist

Amy attended Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy and finished her training at Bryan College and graduated with Honors. 

She enjoys helping people with rehabilitation after an injury or surgery by helping them recover faster and with less pain. She believes in educating her clients on what Massage Therapy can do for them, so together they can make a treatment plan tailored to their needs. Amy prides herself on providing a nice relaxing massage for her clients needing to just de-stress and unwind. 

Amy has some additional training in Hospice Care, cupping therapy, and hot stone massage, she is looking to further her skills with a Kinesiology taping course as her next pursuit of continuing education. Amy loves learning new techniques to better improve the course of treatment she provides to fit all her clients needs.

When not working, you can find Amy spending time with her family and two dogs, or in the yard gardening. She also loves to sit and relax on her porch swing with a good book.

Esther Walinga
Receptionist

Esther is a receptionist at Pinebush Physiotherapy and Wellness. She has five years worth of customer service skills and developed two years of front desk coordinator experience. Prior to working at Pinebush Physiotherapy and Wellness, Esther also worked as a pharmacy assistant.

Esther’s goal is to create a welcoming and positive experience for everyone that enters the clinic. She is always happy to help and will make sure all questions and inquiries are answered to the best of her ability. She thrives on seeing each patient recover and achieve all of their goals.

When not at work, Esther is most likely working out at the gym or spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoys indoor rock climbing and has a passion for fashion.

Nisarg Kant
B.P.T.
Resident Physiotherapist

Nisarg Kant did his Bachelor’s in physiotherapy from Gujarat University in India in 2016. After moving to Canada, Nisarg got a diploma in Kinesiology from the College of the Rockies in Cranbrook, BC. His areas of clinical interest include musculoskeletal rehab along with pre and post surgical rehabilitation.

Nisarg believes in collaborating with patients to restore their function and help reach their goals through individualized evidence-based treatment approaches which includes a combination of education, hands-on therapy, and exercise prescription., As of late Nisarg was working in long-term care assisting residents with their exercise programs and maintaining their level of independence. He is an avid learner and looking forward to expanding his clinical knowledge in dry needling and acupuncture and manual therapy. After work Nisarg, enjoys biking,exploring the great lakes and spending time with his friends and family.

Alexandra Aiello
CAT(C), RMT, BA, HBAHSc
Certified Athletic Therapist / Registered Massage Therapist

Alexandra (Alex) Aiello is a Certified Athletic Therapist (CAT(C) and Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). She has an Honours Bachelor of Applied Health Science in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McMaster University on top of her professional designations.

Alex has been honing her skills at multiple clinics throughout the GTA and newly moved to the Cambridge area. She has worked with clientele ranging from children to the elderly and from weekend warrior to CFL athlete.

Alex believes that manual therapy paired with proper movement is the key to a healthy lifestyle. outside of her clinical practice she has a variety of experience with fitness including being a varsity athlete in rugby, flag football, and OPA powerlifting. She currently has a movement practice to explore a more functional side of physical fitness which she brings to all of her client's treatment plans.
